Carole Strong
March 27, 1937 — July 28, 2016
Carole Ann Strong, 79, long time resident of Lake In The Hills, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 28, 2016. She was born March 27, 1937 in Chicago to Ralph and Rosalia (nee Maras) Green.
Carole was a graduate of University of Illinois, where she received her degree in journalism. She was an active member of Delta Zeta Sorority Alumni, The Newcomers Club, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Womens’ Group and was a Senior Companion. She had a passion for traveling and free-lance writing.
Carole will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 54 years, William “Bill” Strong; children, Andrea (James) McCarthy, Alison (John) Lindemann and Jennifer (Rich) Jenkins; grandchildren, Brenna, Matthew and Julianne McCarthy, Shane and Chase Lindemann, Tyler, Delaney and Drew Jenkins. Many loving friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 9, 2016, from 10 AM until the 11 AM funeral mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 1023 McHenry Ave, Crystal Lake, IL 60014. A luncheon will immediately follow at the church. Interment will be private.
