Carolyn Burkhard

Carolyn June Burkhard, 70, of Spring Grove passed away peacefully on September 18, 2016 in Barrington. She was born October 2, 1945 in Chicago to Robert and Mary (nee Lincoln) Best.

Carolyn was a 1963 graduate of Niles East High School. On July 18, 1964, she married her beloved husband, George “Butch” Burkhard in Skokie, IL. For 20 years, Carol worked as a secretary for American Hotel Register Company in Northbrook. She enjoyed painting, art, cooking, attending dances and church plays and playing softball. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.

Carolyn will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 52 years, George “Butch” Burkhard; children, Brian (Francie) Burkhard and Darci Schebel; grandchildren, Ruby and Calvin Burkhard, Carly and Blake Schebel; brother, Jeff (Nancy) Best. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial service will take place on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 11 A.M. at Glenview United Methodist Church, 727 Harlem Ave, Glenview, IL.
