Carroll June Landeck Veselits, 87, of Cary, formerly of Arlington Heights, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021. She was born in Evanston on September 8, 1933 to Lee and Marion (nee Mantor) Landeck.
After graduating from Evanston Township High School in 1951, Carroll began working at International Mineral and Chemicals Corporation in data. It was here she met her husband, Chuck. They were married at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Evanston on June 9, 1956.
Avid travelers, Carroll and Chuck enjoyed traveling to Florida, Europe, and Mexico, among many other beautiful places. Carroll’s favorite pastime was playing games with her friends and family, especially Rummikub. In her later years, she loved participating in the bells ensemble at Three Oaks Assisted Living and watching Wheel of Fortune.
Survivors include her children, Cathy (Jerry) Slovick, Chuck (Sue) Veselits, Cindy (Mark) Snodgrass, Craig (Margaret) Veselits, Colleen (Greg) Fuchs; seventeen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck; sisters, Clara (Bob) Ralph and Doris (John) Morby; and brother, Gordon Lee (Jane) Landeck.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 17th, from 4pm until 8pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. Mass of the Christian Burial will be Friday, June 18th, at 10:30am at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 410 N. 1st St., Cary. Entombment will follow at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
