Cathal F. Tierney

TIERNEY (Ó TIGHEARNAIGH) Cathal, Dún Laoghaire and late of Barrington, Illinois, passed away suddenly at home, 16 September, 2021. Much loved husband of Bríd (née Conneely), and wonderful father to Áine, Seán, Mary, Kate and Liam. Pre-deceased by his beloved parents Fergus and Bríd (née Glynn). Will be very sadly missed by his wife, children, sisters Dearbhail and Ríonach, brothers Fionán and Cormac, mother-in-law Annie, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, adoring nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives and his close lifelong friends.

There will be a visitation before the mass from 9:30-11:00am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anne’s Church Barrington, Illinois, on Friday next 24 September at 11.00am US Central time (5pm Irish time). A cremation and celebration of life ceremony will follow mass at 12:30pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory in Lake Zurich, 941 S Old Rand Rd, Lake Zurich, IL 60047.
