Catherine Wise

Catherine T. Wise nee Taylor, 62, of Crystal Lake passed away Thursday, November 25, 2010 in Woodstock. Born March 10 1948 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, she was the daughter of Richard and Dorothy (Wavra) Taylor. On June 12, 1971 she was united in marriage to Dr. William Sykes Wise II at All Saints Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She received her B.A. in Music Education from Bradley University. She was employed as a Claims Processor for Lincoln Financial and was a flute player in the Crystal Lake Community Band. Survivors include her husband, Dr. William Sykes Wise II of Crystal Lake; her children, William Sykes Wise III (Jillian) of Rochelle and Drea Wise of Mundelein; her mother, Dorothy Taylor of Cedar Rapids; her brothers, Tom (Debbie) Taylor of Portland, OR, Mark (Barb) Taylor of Sioux City, IA, Kevin Taylor of Cedar Rapids, Dan (Carla) Taylor of Cedar Rapids, and Bob (Dana) Taylor of Urbandale, IA; her grandchildren, William Sykes Wise IV and Daphne Rose Wise, both of Rochelle; and her sister, Marie (Jim) Tarr of Colombia, MO. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Taylor and her sister, Carol Taylor. The memorial visitation will be from 3pm to 7pm, Friday, December 3 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (IL Rte 176), Crystal Lake.
