Charity Marie Schaffer-Perrin, 53, of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, June 16, 2022.
She was born November 24, 1968 in Hanover Park to the late Philip and Lorraine (Friedel) Schaffer.
Charity loved watching the Cubs and going to the beach. She loved spending time up north at her cabin and the peace it brought her. She brought a light to any room she was in and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved Thanksgiving and looking at her tulips in the front yard. Although diagnosed with ALS she never let that stop her, Charity was a devoted grandmother and a wonderful wife, mother, and sister.
Charity was the loving wife of 31 years of Mitchell; beloved mother of Danielle Perrin, Courtney (Ben) Risse, and Samantha Perrin; grandmother of Scarlett Risse; cherished sister of Faith (Dan) Baran, Philip (Joyce) Schaffer, Hope (Pete) Koch, Peter (Cisne) Schaffer, and Robert (Renee) Schaffer; and beloved aunt of 6 nieces and 6 nephews, 6 grandnieces and 6 grandnephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 23, 2022 from 3-8 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176) Crystal Lake. The funeral service will be the following day, Friday, June 24 at 12 p.m. at the funeral home with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery, Palatine.
