Charles William Bogda, 56, of Lake in the Hills, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born July 18, 1956 in Chicago, IL.
Charles is survived by his wife of 36 years, Pamela (nee Schultz); sons, Brian (Catherine), Jason (Katherine), and Andrew Bogda; grandchildren, Wesley and Braden; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Evelyn (nee Miller) Bogda and his sister Barbara Jean (John) Bila.
Charles grew up in Des Plaines, where he met his wife Pamela. They lived in Wheeling for 18 years, where they raised their three sons, before moving to Lake in the Hills in 1996.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, spending time outdoors, caring for animals, target shooting, and fishing.
Visitation will be 4-8pm Thursday, October 25 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave (Route 176), Crystal Lake. Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday, October 26 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 932 S. McHenry Ave, Crystal Lake with visitation from 10am until the time of the service at the church. Interment in Windridge Memorial Park will follow.
