Charles L. Brenneman, 87, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2020 at his home in Barrington, IL. Chuck was born in New Castle, PA on June 29, 1932 to Paul and Margaret Brenneman. He was a proud US Army veteran who began his military career as a jumper and ended as a Sergeant. After military service, Chuck joined Jewel Food Stores as a meat cutter. He worked his way into the corporate office in advertising, marketing and buying. In 1994, after 37 years of service Chuck retired.
Chuck was an active member of St. Anne Catholic Community Church where he gave 20 plus years of service as the lead usher, in the welcome committee and dedication committee as well as others.
Chuck will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Virginia (nee Lee); his children: Donna Mautner, Roberta (Kurt) Dickman, Laura Siebert, and Marc (Soukie) Czaja; his grandchildren: Coleen (Brian) Halloran; Matt (Bridget) and Jimmy Dickman; Danielle (Anthony) Huemann; Nicolas and Augustus Siebert; Sophia, Luke, Ana and Leo Czaja; his great grandchildren, Finnegan, Gavin, Anthony and Josephine; a brother, Gary (Phyllis) Brenneman; loving nieces and nephews; and his faithful companion, Tara. He was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law, Neil Mautner and brother, Donald (Genevieve) Brenneman.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2020, from 9:00 am until the time of mass - 11:00 am at St. Anne Catholic Community Church, 120 N. Ela Street (Corner of Franklin and Ela streets), Barrington, IL.
