Charles Mortell

Charles E. Mortell, 86, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas formerly of Chicago, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2016. He was born on September 9, 1929 in Chicago, IL to Charles Anthony and Helen Mary (nee Flemming) Mortell.
Charles was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed painting.
He is survived by his loving children, Kevin (Laura) Mortell, Maureen (the late John) Fanning; grandchildren, Bridget (Chris) Harden, Meghan (Manny) Josue, Miles (Bre) Mortell; great-grandson, Elliott Miles Josue; brother, James Mortell; companion Gerrie Malchiodi; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Helen, brother Jack and by his parents.
Memorial visitation will be Monday, April 11, 2016, from 10 AM until the 12 Noon memorial service at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Interment will be private.
