Charles “Randy” Ratliff, 61, of Baltimore passed away peacefully on September 24, 2015. He was born on March 21, 1954 in Owensboro, Kentucky to Byron and Anna (nee Dickerson) Ratliff.
Randy was a world traveler who made friends everywhere he went. When he became ill, people all over the world came to see him or called to visit with him. Randy had a huge heart, and he was also a man of great faith, trusting in God’s grace. He inspired everyone he met with his friendly nature and his unwavering belief in God.
Randy will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Maria Magdalena Contreras Bances; children, Lori and Chad Ratliff; step-children, Alfonso Enrique, Alvin Ariel and Ana Rocio Jordan Contreras; siblings, David (Paula) Ratliff, Nancy (the late Sonny) Dunn and Deborah Wallace. Many loving nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial visitation will be Monday, Sept. 28, from 3 PM until the 7 PM memorial service at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake. Interment will be privately held at Windridge Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to New Covenant Worship Center (ncwc.org), 1425 Newton Bridge Road, Athens, GA, 30607 would be appreciated.
