Charles H. Robinson

Charles H. Robinson, 85, of Fox River Grove, was born January 10, 1932 in Spencer, SD to Raymond H. and Doris (nee Borgstrom) Robinson. He passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017 in Barrington.
Charles worked for Commonwealth Edison for 38 years before his retirement in 1992. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War from 1949-1952. Charles enjoyed playing cribbage, woodworking, making quilts, and helping his son on the Wisconsin farm.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Janet (nee Evans) Robinson, whom he married May 21, 1954 in Palatine; his sons, Charles R. (Gail) Robinson, and Terry E. (the late Jean) Robinson; his grandsons, Barton and Joshua Robinson; his siblings, Naomi (the late James) Barry, Donna (Clayton) Townsend, Richard (Erika) Robinson, and Melvin (Pat) Robinson; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Roger (Gloria) Robinson; and his parents.
Services for Charles will be held privately.
