Charles Burton Squiers, 93, of Lake Barrington;Born April 28, 1918 in Detroit, MI, he passed away Sun. Sept. 11, 2011 in Barrington.Charles was the beloved husband for 68 years of Jean (nee Bennett), loving father of Ken (Susan) Squiers and Christine (Russel Lubliner) Gillies, dear grandfather of Mark (Chizuki) Squiers, Lindsay (Lindell) Pearson, and Lisa (Andrew) Rector, great-grandfather of Mari, Risa, Jaxon,and Parker.He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings.Charles was a WWII Army Veteran, serving as a Captain during the battle of Normandy, earning Five Battle Stars and Bronze Star Medal.Services for Charles will be private.
