Christine Bowen

Christine I. Bowen, nee Covell, 95, formerly of Barrington, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2015. She was born on December 22, 1919 in Britton, MI to Clarence E. and Martha A. (nee Klann) Covell.

Christine was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church in Barrington since 1963. She also loved gardening, collecting China and glassware, reading and travelling. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Christine will be deeply missed by her loving children, John W. (Sue) Bowen of Mequon, WI and Constance L. Bowen of Rolling Meadows. Many loving nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her dear husband of 58 years, W. Lloyd Bowen; her parents and her siblings.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 31 from 1 until the time of service at 2 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 149 W. Main St., Barrington. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Atonement Lutheran Church, 909 E. Main St., Barrington, IL 60010.
