Christine Prestley

Christine Prestley, 78, of Crystal Lake, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Centegra Hospital - Woodstock.

She was born in Warrior, Alabama, the second of seven children, the daughter of the late Jackson and Lillie Mae (Houston) Breakfield. Chris married her soulmate Donald Prestley Sr. on December 8, 1956. He preceded her in death on February 9, 2013.

Chris retired from Precision Twist & Drill in Crystal Lake after 26 years of devoted service. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, and most of all being a grandmother.

Survivors include her daughter Carol (Bill) Schultz, and three sons Bill (Kathy), Donald Jr. (Tricia), and Daren (Julie Papen), and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her three brothers, Joe Cotton, Howard (Sandy) Breakfield, and Phillip Breakfield as well as many loving nieces & nephews.

Preceding her in death were her husband Donald, her parents, a daughter Donna Vodnansky, an infant son, grandchildren Bryce and Terry Prestley, a great-granddaughter Alivia Prestley, and three sisters, Shirley (the late Gene) Niblett, Helen (the late Ray) Brown, and Sue (Larry) Parkey.

Visitation will be from 10:30am Tuesday, November 3 until the funeral service at 11:30am at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1320 Dean St., Woodstock, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McHenry County Adult Program (McCAP), PO Box 1823, Woodstock, IL 60098.
