Christine Wolf
March 21, 1957 — February 7, 2016
Christine “Tina” Hope Wolf (nee Markwald), 58, of Crystal Lake, passed away February 7, 2016 in her home after a 3-year battle with breast cancer. She was born on March 21, 1957 in Anna, IL to Rudolf and Marilynn (nee Morris) Markwald.
Tina graduated from Augustana College in 1979, received her CPA certification in 1983, and received her MBA from University of Chicago in 1993.
On September 28, 1985 she married Gilbert Wolf at Martin Luther Church in Chicago. She was a devoted wife and loving mother of two children, Gregory and Lauren. Tina was an affectionate, compassionate, and vivacious person who was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Besides her husband and children, Tina is survived by her mother, Marilynn Boyes; brother, Paul (Sue) Markwald; and sister, Elizabeth (Jeffrey) Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rudolf Markwald and her sister, Ruth Osberg.
Visitation will be Friday, February 12, from 4 pm until 8 pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake. The funeral service will begin at 11 am with a time of visitation starting at 10 am on Saturday, February 13, at Bethany Lutheran Church, 76 W. Crystal Lake Ave., Crystal Lake.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Tina’s name can be made to Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center, 2160 South First Ave., Maywood, IL 60153.
