Christine Zagroba

Christine “Tina” Zagroba, 73, of Barrington passed away peacefully on December 12, 2016. She was born on September 26, 1943 in Chicago to Charles and Hedwig “Hattie” (nee Tragarz) Banas.

Tina was a graduate of Josephinum High School class of 1961 and worked at home as a hairdresser. She was a caretaker for all and was proud to be a Minister of care to the sick. Tina was also a grateful member of Al-Anon, Mended Hearts, House of Hope as well as Vacation Bible School Leader, St. James School of Religion Teacher, St. Anne's Women's Club Scripture Group.

Tina will be deeply missed by her loving children, Justine Hanson, Keith (Jennifer) Zagroba, Christine (Steven) Sollis; grandchildren, Nicole & Bryan Hanson, Zoe & Molly Zagroba, Brianna "Bri" Sollis; nieces and nephews, Jeanne (Karl)Kalgbein, Ed (Ruth) Banas, Jeff Banas & Heather Banas, Raymond (Shannon) Zagroba, Teo (Missy) Zagroba ; sister-in-law, Rita Zagroba; and by her granddogs, Lucy and Wrangler; and her many dear friends. All who knew Tina will miss her kindness, her compassion, her smile and her great hugs.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Zagroba; her siblings, Jim (Nancy) Banas; and by her brother-in-law, Walter Zagroba.

Memorial visitation will be Monday, December 19, 2016, from 9:00 AM until the 10 AM Memorial Mass at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 N. Ela St. (corner of Franklin and Ela St.), Barrington. Interment will be private.
