Chuck Hunt

Born November 18, 1937 in Evanston to Vernon LeRoy, Sr. and Mary (nee Kruger) Hunt, Charles passed away peacefully on September 12, 2016 at the age of 78.

Chuck was united in marriage to Judith Koon on December 17, 1960 and together they raised 5 children. She preceded him in death in February 2013. Besides enjoying his time spent with family, Chuck appreciated a good book, a crossword puzzle, and gardening.

Chuck is survived by his children, Gary (Jennifer), Elizabeth (Daniel) Spuck, Jeffrey, and Christopher (Kate); grandchildren, Desiree, Brittney, Tori, Alie Hunt, Trisha, Brittany, Tiffany Spuck, Riley, Logan Hunt, Adam, Nora, and Ryan Hunt; sister, Sharon Elizabeth (William) Fuery.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Judith; daughter, Cynthia; sister, Nancy (nee Wood) Jaeger; and brother, Vernon L. Hunt, Jr.

Friends may visit with Chuck’s family on Friday, September 16, from 4-8 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rte. 176) Crystal Lake. The funeral service will be held the following day, Saturday, September 17, beginning at 10 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church Historic Campus, 178 McHenry Ave, Crystal Lake. Burial will follow at Crystal Lake Memorial Park.
