Clara Dickens, 85, of Lake Zurich passed away September 5, 2018.  She was born in Pineknob, West Virginia on September 9, 1933 to Jacob and Bessie (nee Turner) Cook.

Clara was a devoted mother and grandmother.  She will be missed by her by children, Jeff (Carol) Dickens and Maribeth (Kenneth) Eckhaus; grandchildren, Carrie (Randy) Stotz, Markus Eckhaus, and Daryl Eckhaus; great grandchildren, Aidan, Chloe, and Mason Stotz; sisters, Ethel Manyluk and Elsie Pettry; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 2017 and siblings, Norma Webb, Basil Cook, Forest Cook, Murphy Cook, and Ressie Richardson.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 11 am until the time of a service at 12 noon.   Burial will follow at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
