Clarence “Fritz” Hobart Hults, 90 of Lake Barrington for 3 years
Formerly of Traverse City MI.
Born Aug. 31, 1921 in Lake City, MI to Clarence E. and Velma Hults, he passed away peacefully Jan. 25, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family.
Clarence served in the United States Navy from 1942 to 1945 in San Francisco and New Caledonia. He married Helen Seabrook in San Francisco July 26, 1943 while serving in the Navy.
He was a lifelong member of the Traverse City Congregational Church, and a life member of the Masonic Lodge, the Knights Templar, and the Traverse City Shrine Club.
Clarence is survived by his son Richard “Dick” (Peggy) of Barrington Hills, daughter Barbara (David) Burgess, of Ionia, Michigan, granddaughters Natasha (Geoff) Flanagan of Chicago, and Tania (Martijn) Bouwman of Wilmette, and great grandchildren Alexandra Flanagan, and Mark and Claire Bouwman.
He was preceded in death by his wife Helen (Jan. 19, 1991), sister Martha Reissener, and his parents.
Memorial visitation will be 11am until the time of the service at 1pm Monday Jan. 30 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St, Barrington. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers dontations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 225 N. Michigan Ave Suite 1200, Chicago, IL 60601.
