Clisby Jarrard

Clisby W. Jarrard, 89, of Barrington formerly of Macon, Georgia, died peacefully, December 7, 2013, in Barrington.

He was born on February 26, 1924, in Georgia.

Clisby was a graduate of Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. He served in the Navy during WWII. Clisby worked as an attorney for the United Insurance Company of America for many years. He was a trustee for the Village of Barrington. Clisby enjoyed BBQing, coaching baseball, his dog “Tori” and most of all spending time with his family.

Clisby is survived by his loving children, Pat (James) Elliott of Macon, Georgia, Clisby (Ruth) Jarrard of Barrington, Amy Jarrard (Kevin Clinge) of Algonquin, and Becky (Dave) Schoonover of Delafield, Wisconsin; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Mildred (nee Driggers) Jarrard, and nine brothers and sisters.

Memorial visitation will be held from 4-8p.m., with a eulogy service held at 7p.m., Monday, December 9, 2013, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main Street (Lake-Cook Rd.), Barrington, IL 60010.

Interment will be private.
