A private graveside service was held at Evergreen Cemetery for Clyde Sandquist,76, of Inverness. He was born December 24, 1934 in Brantwood, WI to the late Alfred and Mathilda Sandquist and passed away November 24, 2011 in Barrington surrounded by his family.
Clyde is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Nancy. He was the loving father of Cathy Sandquist, Lisa (Christopher) Weil, and the late Robert, and his cherished granddaughters Katrina and Tara. Clyde was the dear brother of Florence Swenson, Mable (Leonard) Niskanen, the late Alice Swenson, and the late George and Ralph Sandquist; he was the fond uncle of many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Clyde worked for over 50 years in the steel contracting business, and he was proud to have helped construct hundreds of buildings in the Chicago area.
Memorials in Clyde’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
