Concetta Marie Bastone

Concetta Marie (Aiello) Bastone, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on September 12, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of Eugene and Rose Aiello (Costanza) and the sister of The Honorable John Aiello, Alderman of the 36th Ward of Chicago.

A vibrant spirit, Concetta was known for her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for her family. She dedicated 40 years of her career to the City of Chicago as the Executive Assistant to Aviation, where her commitment and service shone brightly.

Concetta devoted her life to nurturing those around her, often bringing family and friends together over delicious meals infused with love and tradition. Her laughter and joy were contagious, and she had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel special and valued.

She is survived by her children, Peter F. Bastone (Julie) and Rosemarie Bastone-Leverenz (Tim), as well as her cherished grandchildren: Frankie, Dominic, Giovanni, Rachel Bastone, Louis Capuzi, Colin, Kyle, Kaitlin, and Kylie Leverenz, along with her great-grandchildren, Emma and Grace Bastone. They will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. Concetta was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gold Star Detective Frank Bastone, and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A private memorial service will be held for her family to celebrate Concetta's life and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.

Concetta Marie (Aiello) Bastone will be remembered for her boundless love, generous spirit, and the countless lives she touched throughout her journey. May she rest in peace.
