Constance Connie L. Tollar of Crystal Lake was born June 14, 1924 in Chicago and passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at her home in Crystal Lake.
Connie graduated from Foreman High School in Chicago in 1942 and was married to James F. Tollar, Sr. on February 14, 1945; he preceded her in death after 55 years of marriage.
Connie retired in 1993 after working 25 years at Skrudland Photo Service in Chicago and ten years at Perfect Image Photo in Des Plaines. She became manager of both stores. She also volunteered her time for ten years at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington and was active in her church, PTA President, Girl Scout Leader, and election judge. Connie loved to garden and spend time with her family.
Connie is survived by her children, Sandra (Len) Georgian, James (Georgia) Tollar, and Ellen (Dennis) ONeill; grandchildren, Juli (Terry) Mork, Mark (Janell) Georgian, Lynn (Chris) Hummel, James (Missy) Tollar, Susan (Bryan) Buckley, Daniel Tollar, Kevin (Kelli) ONeill, and Michael (Melissa) ONeill; great-grandchildren, Alex and Chris Mork, Kylie, Zechariah, and Micah Georgian, Ashley, Steven, and Tommy Hummel, Samantha, David, and Andrew Tollar, Trey, Kole, Kaitlyn, and Kaleb Buckley, and Kenzie ONeill; and her brothers, Lou (Connie) and Bill (Edie) Limperes.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents, George and Deonesia Limperes.
Visitation will be 9:30am until the time of the funeral service at 11:30am Friday, April 4 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave (Route 176), Crystal Lake. Burial in Crystal Lake Memorial Park, Crystal Lake.
