Currie L. Brewer, 93, of Barrington, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on December 22, 2015. He was born on October 12, 1922 in Evanston, IL to John and Gertrude Brewer.
Currie was a proud veteran of the United States Marines and was an Air Corp Fighter Pilot during WWII. He was an American History Expert, benefactor of various Native American non-profit organizations; he was also an advertising executive for Leo Burnett in Chicago and San Fransciso.
Currie will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 65 years, Alice (nee Dalton), with whom he was united in marriage on August 5, 1950. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Scott Brewer of Glenwood Springs, CO; Gail Brewer of Barrington, IL; Janis Brewer of Oakland, CA and Miles Brewer of Barrington, IL; and his granddaughter, Rachel Price Lamorte of Denver, CO. Many loving cousins and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John Dwight Brewer, Jr.
