McHenry, Illinois,Funeral services will be held for D. Lewana "Lee" Burchell, nee Thompson, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 27th at Davenport Family Funeral Home located at 149 W. Main St. in Barrington, Illinois, with interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Barrington. Visitation is on Monday, July 26 from 4 - 9 p.m. Lee was born on August 20 1927 in Ivydale, Clay County, West Virginia. She passed away at home on Friday, July 23, 2010. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker, and was a member of the Village Church of Barrington. She is survived by her son, Stanley Burchell, Jr. of McHenry; her daughter, Cynthia Hoffman of Greenfield, Indiana; her grandchildren: Melissa Kreutzer, Tyler Burchell, Emalee Burchell and Nathan Burchell, all of McHenry, and Mary Hoffman and Catherine Hoffman, both of Greenfield. She is also survived by one great-granddaughter, Onnaliese Kreutzer. Lee was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Thompson; her sister, JoAnn Thompson Rich, and by a daughter, Sandra Lee Burchell.
