Daniel Robert Evans

Daniel Robert Evans, 48, of Lakewood, was born on July 6, 1969 to the (late) Raymond and Marylyn Evans, and passed away peacefully on August 23, 2017. Dan was the loving husband of Deanne Evans (nee Czapla) for 19 years; loving father of Hannah and Amber; brother of Karen Evans and Mark (Claire) Evans; cherished uncle of Ashley (Scott) Leavitt, Bradley, Ryan, Paige and Jenna Evans; friend of too many to count.

Dan's love for life was evident in everything he did. He had a smile and a joke for everyone he met and made friends wherever he went. He loved his family and friends and was so proud of his beautiful girls, Hannah and Amber. Dan graduated from the University of Wisconsin in La Crosse and spent the majority of his working career in cellular sales. Dan had a passion for music, sports and a beautiful sunset. His favorite place to be was on the patio with his bass guitar, a fire and a beer. There wasn't a Blotto show he didn't show up for or a sporting event he didn't want to attend. He was an excellent athlete and an avid Cubs fan. He had a love for football, softball golf, tennis and racquetball and would often challenge his friends to a game and a wager.

He will be missed by so many and be remembered for his beautiful smile and big blue eyes. Rest in peace Dan, and know you will be forever in our hearts.

Visitation for Dan will be held on Wednesday, August 30, from 4:00pm until 9:00pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. On Thursday, August 31, visitation will continue at the funeral home at 9:30am with prayers said at 10:30am, proceeding to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, for Mass at 11:00am.
