Daniel R. Firszt

Daniel Raymond FIrszt, 49 of Lakemoor, Il passed away at home, Monday, October 28, 2024. He was born December 23, 1974, in Chicago Il, father Raymond Firszt and Mother Sheila Comerer.

 Daniel graduated from Elgin High School. He worked as a vendor at flea markets, construction projects, doing handy man work. Then in March of 2002, Daniel enlisted in the Army. He was assigned to Ft Benning, Ga where he completed his Basic and Advanced Individual Training. After his training he was assigned to South Korea for border patrol. Daniel finished his enlistment with a tour in Iraq and was awarded Army service medals for his work. 

 After discharge from the Army Daniel enrolled in college at Truman and Northeastern University. During his college years he belonged to many clubs that made a difference in the community such as the environmental club, where he made a spot on the 6pm news. Because of his love of music, he majored in music with the intension of some day he would work with children with Down Syndrome. 

 Daniel enjoyed the company of his family and many friends. Daniel was a member of the VFW, American Legion and Shriners.

 He is survived by his loving mother Sheila Comerer and stepfather John Comerer, sons, Daniel Lopez and Zachary Hanson, brothers Jimmy Firszt, John (Johnny) Comerer and a sister Amber Stewart. 

 He was preceded in death by his father Raymond, sister-in-law Rebecca Firszt, grandparents and several aunts and uncles.

 Funeral will be at the Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Avenue, Crystal Lake Il 60014, (815) 459-3411, on Nov 30, 2024, visitation will be from 2:00 until a memorial talk given at 4:00.
