Daniel J. Phillips, 64, of Ingleside, passed away Friday, August 7, 2015 in Libertyville. Dan was born September 6, 1950 in St. Louis, MO to William H. and Joan (nee Perkins) Welpott.
Dan could only be described as a free spirit. He was an eternal optimist and exhibited intense passion for the things he loved in life, which included fishing, boating, music, cars and especially his family. Dan was a very talented musician; he mastered many different instruments and was a member and conductor of the University of Northern Texas marching band. He was an entrepreneur and dedicated himself to his artwork. Dan was a fighter, all the way to end and will be dearly missed by his family.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Adrienne (nee Rosen) Phillips; his mother; and his siblings, Tim (Bobbie) Welpott, and Vickie Moore.
He is preceded in death by his brother, William H. Welpott; and his father.
Visitation will be held from 2pm until the time of funeral service at 4pm, Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Davenport Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook), Barrington, IL 60010. Interment will take place at 2pm, Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Evergreen Cemetery in Barrington.
