Daniel Jerome Remback Sr.

Daniel Jerome Remback, age 77, of Chicago, IL passed away on October 25, 2020. Beloved father of Joseph Remback, Daniel (Christa) Remback, Jr., and Victoria (Justin) Merkys; beloved grandfather of Anakari Remback, Jack and Ansel Merkys; son of the late Joseph and Sophie Rembacz; brother of the late Leona (Ray) Rudy and Louise (Dennis) Watts; uncle to 7 nieces and nephews.

Daniel “Dan” is a veteran of the National Guard and a graduate of St. Norbert College in Green Bay, WI. He was born in Chicago and grew up in the Polish neighborhood of Portage Park. He always fondly recalled memories of his neighborhood friends and even fonder memories of his time at Lane Technical High School. His degree in economics led him to a long career at Zenith where he worked as a project engineer. The passion he had for the arts, dancing, football, and most of all his, family, was unparalleled. He was known for his curious nature and free spirit. Daniel was the happiest surrounded by friends and family, eating good food and laughing.

Memorial visitation will be Monday, November 2, 2020 from 4 PM until 8 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Old Rand Rd., Lake Zurich, IL 60047. Family & friends will gather for a Funeral Mass that will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 11 AM at Saint Anne Catholic Community, 120 Ela St. (Corner of Franklin and Ela Sts.), Barrington. Interment will be private.
