Daniel J Sopocy

Daniel “Dan” James Sopocy, 58, of Deer Park passed away Monday, September 3rd, 2018 at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. He was born August 5th, 1960, the son of Steve and Marcella (NEE: Tomsa) Sopocy in Riverside, Illinois. Dan worked at UBS Financial as a stock broker and financial advisor. He enjoyed reading, hunting, running, and showing his kids “classic” movies and television shows, especially Looney Tunes and James Bond. Dan will be deeply missed by his children Brett (Roseanna), Alexandra, and Calvin Sopocy. He will also be missed by his brothers Paul (Colette) and Steve (Ann) Sopocy and his sister Cathy (Dennis) Finney. Dan is survived by many nieces, nephews, many colleagues and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Steve and Marcella (NEE:Tomsa) Sopocy and his sister Barbara Keeton. Family will receive guests to celebrate Dan’s life and share memories on Friday, September 21st from 3pm until the time of service at 7pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home 941 S. Old Rand Road, Lake Zurich, Il 60047.
