Darrel Leland Peters

Darrel Leland Peters, 84, of Barrington, IL was born in Chicago, IL on August 2, 1933 to the late Thomas and Alva (nee Radford) Peters and passed away peacefully in Barrington, IL on October 17, 2017. Darrel was the loving husband of Alaine (nee Meinkow); devoted father of Deborah (Steven) Bakker, and Julianne (Jerold) Baltrus; and adoring grandfather of Tiffany Baltrus and Matthew Baltrus. Darrel worked in Chicago Radio Broadcasting for over 40 years. Visitation for Darrel will be held on Saturday, October 21, from 9:30am until the time of his service at 11:30am at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St., Barrington, IL. Interment will be held privately at Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Toys for Tots, www.toysfortots.org/donate.
