Darren is survived by his parents Gerry (Kimberly) Maughan and Lisa (Steven Nathanson) Wick; sister, Kylie Maughan; brother Scott (Crystal) Maughan; nephew, Kyler Maughan; grandmother, Margaret Schwicardi; maternal aunts and unlces, Debra Charles, and Susan and Kim Schwicardi; and paternal aunts and uncles from New Zealand, Barry (Jackie) Maughan, Collen (Scott) Jones, and Janet (Tony) Keenan; cousins, Stacey (David) Gradle and their son Nicholas, Keri Schwicardi, RN, and New Zealand cousins, Natalie Peters, Brendan Maughan, and Christopher Keenan.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Joseph and Nessie Maughan; maternal grandfather, Fred Schwicardi; and great aunt, Patsy Jean Larson.
Visitation will be held from 1pm until the funeral service at 3pm, Sunday, December 18th at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Rd.), Barrington. Interment will be private.
