Daryl Dishong

Daryl M. Dishong, 62, longtime resident of Barrington, passed away on August 26, 2016. He was born on March 30, 1954 in Palmyra, PA to Michael Leroy and Sarah (nee Shenk) Dishong.

Daryl was COO/CFO at The Intec Group, Inc., Director on the board of Sanwa – Intec Asia Pte Ltd. and Director on boards of GiGi’s Playhouse of McHenry County, Workman’s Compensation Trust of Illinois. He was a past board member of Village of Barrington Strategic Planning Committee. He was a parishioner of St. Anne Catholic Community and was an avid golfer, voracious reader, and Seinfeld fanatic. He was a lover of music, played piano, trombone and violin. Daryl had an encyclopedic memory for music and sports. He was a loyal, lifetime San Francisco Giants fan and loved the Chicago Blackhawks.

Daryl will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 31 years, Eileen (nee Byrne); his son Matthew M. Dishong; sisters, Donna (Linwood) Neidigh and Denise (Randall) Leitzel; nephews, Brian (Cheryl), Duane (Amy) Neidigh and Michael (Lauren) Leitzel; great-nieces and nephews, ReAnn, Samuel, Luke and Alyssa Neidigh and Brynn Abigail Leitzel. He was preceded in death by his parents and great-nephew Dillon Neidigh.

Memorial visitation will be Wednesday, August 31, 2016, from 9 AM until the 11 AM Memorial Mass at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 N. Ela St. (corner of Franklin and Ela Sts.), Barrington. Interment will be private.
