Dave Carlson

Dave Allen Carlson, Sr., 60 of Hoffman Estates, passed away December 2, 2010, at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates, surrounded by his family. He was born September 1, 1950 in Evergreen Park, IL. Dave worked for the MWRD in Cook County for 8 years, and previously worked at ACME Steel in Chicago for 29 years. He was a member of Salmon Unlimited, Ducks Unlimited, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his beloved wife Barbara Carlson, nee Lenski, of 37 years, whom he married on September 15, 1973; loving children David (Heather) Carlson, Jr. and Marsha Carlson; cherished grandchildren Cameron, Blake, and Olivia; dear mother Patricia Organ; dearest siblings Kathy Palermo, Kay Renoe, Janet (Brad) Zent, and Steve Organ; and also many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dearest friends. He was preceded in death by his fathers Harry Carlson and Robert Organ; brother Richard Carlson, and father-in-law Richard Lenski. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 6th, from 4-9pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Avenue (Rte 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014. There will be a Funeral Mass on Tuesday, December 7th, at 10am, with visitation from 9am until the time of Mass at SS. Peter Paul Catholic Church, 410 N. First Street, Cary, IL, 60013. Father John Gow will officiate. Interment will be private.
