David Wayne Curtis, beloved father, husband, brother, son, uncle, and friend, passed peacefully into the Kingdom of Heaven on the 18th of April, 2016, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL. He was born September 24, 1959. Dave was preceded in death by his father, Harold Curtis. He is survived by his beautiful bride of 34 years, Pamela; daughter, Heather (Frank) Modica, and son, Brandon (fiancé, Joslin Lloyd); mother, Marion; two brothers, Paul (Roxanne) and Wendell.
Dave was loved by all who knew him, and eager to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Dave was very active in his church community as an elder at Living Grace Community Church and also served on the children’s ministry worship team. He demonstrated his passion for Christian education by serving on the board of Trinity Oaks Christian Academy. His deepest desire was for others to know his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Dave also took great pleasure in gardening, singing, playing the guitar and banjo, tennis, golf, and walking his dogs. He was a devoted family man and loved vacationing and spending time with his family. Dave was an engineer and “Mr. Fix-It” for his family and friends. He worked at Motorola as the Director of Licensing and Business Development.
Visitation will be from 1 PM until the time of the funeral service at 4:00 PM on Friday, April 22nd, at Living Grace Community Church, 1500 Silver Lake Rd, Cary. Memorial gifts will be donated to Living Grace Community Church and Trinity Oaks Christian Academy; checks can be made out to Living Grace.
