David W. Kaliski

David W. Kaliski, loving husband and dear friend, passed away suddenly, October 17, 2024. He was born May 15, 1972, in Chicago, to Walter and Barbara Kaliski. 

Those who knew David will remember him for his infectious smile, deep-rooted faith, and his rare gift for making others laugh. No matter the circumstance, you'd always leave with a story of something funny/crazy David did while you were with him. An artist and gifted production designer for over 30+ years, his patience and gift for teaching helped grow and develop others to become skilled in design and production.

Living out a childhood dream, David joined the Wisconsin Army National Guard at a whopping age of 35. He became a commissioned officer for the Military Police. Serving his country was one of his proudest moments and one he treasured deeply and dearly.

David is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Karen; mother, Barbara (Dennis) Nordman; brother, Adam Kaliski; constant canine companion, Spike; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members who will dearly miss him. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter; and his much-loved beagle/bulldog, Chomper.

He will be remembered for his kind blue eyes, adventurous spirit, and ability to make anyone around him feel loved. May his memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth his legacy of love and kindness.

Visitation will be from 10am until the funeral service at 12pm Friday October 25 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 941 S. Old Rand Road, Lake Zurich. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington.
