Services for David Eric Pals,62, of Barrington, will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, at the Willow Creek Community Church Chapel, 67 E. Algonquin Rd, South Barrington, where the family will be receiving friends from 12 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be private at Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington. Visitation will be held from 4- 8 p.m., Thursday, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Rd), Barrington.
David passed away peacefully Sun., October 23, 2011 at Good Shepard Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 6, 1949 in Cadillac, MI to Eric and Ruth (nee Soderquist) Pals.
David was passionate about his children and grandchildren. He was an avid volunteer for Walk On Equine Assisted Activities for the disabled, he enjoyed reading, riding Friesian horses, driving his convertible thru Barrington Hills, and spending time with his friends. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and attended Willow Creek Community Church.
David is survived by his wife, Jane A. (nee Faulkner), whom he married Aug 1, 1970 in Barrington; a daughter, Mandy (Joe) Schneider and granddaughters, Ally and Jenna; a daughter Stephanie Pals and granddaughter Hannah; sister, Ruth (Dennis) Metzger; brothers, Jim (Mary) Pals, John Pals, Tom (Kristy) Pals; and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
