David Ryckman

David K. Ryckman, 81, of Barrington Hills passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015. He was born in Freeport, IL to Edwin and Dorothy Ryckman.

Dave loved animals, especially his dogs and horses. He volunteered as Scout Leader for his boys and was a winning Little League coach. In the past few years, he was a certified investigator of animal abuse for Hooved Animal Humane Society (HAHS).

Survivors include his wife, Joan (nee Kaiser), of 59 years; three sons, Kurt (Diane), Kory (Amy), and Kris (Anna); grandchildren, Kody and Abby; siblings, Jere Ryckman and Diane Ryckman; nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Pepper.

There will be a time of visitation from 9:30 am until the funeral service at 10:30 am on Monday, December 21 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W Main St. (Lake-Cook Rd), Barrington. Burial will be held privately at Elmwood Cemetery in Warren, IL.
