Dean L. Frelk

1932 — February 3, 2018

Dean was born January 1, 1932, in Chicago to Walter and Marie Frelk.  He graduated from Moos Elementary School, Lane Tech High School and Northwestern University. For 25 years he worked at Teletype Corporation, as an industrial engineer. Dean left there to build custom homes in Prestonfield, the 80-acre subdivision he developed from farmland in Kildeer, IL.  He passed away at his home February 3, 2018.

Dean is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kathleen “Kathi” (Bradbury) Frelk; daughters, Hilary (Davis) Rowe, Alyssa (Brian) Quinlan, Jordyn Pins, and Meghan (Christopher) Schnell; grandchildren, Braden, Preston, and Cameron Rowe, Caroline and Patrick Quinlan, Charlie and Blake Pins, and Addison and Hannah Schnell; sisters, Muriel (late Erik) Christensen and Diane (Marshall) Rife; and brother Ronald (Mary) Frelk, and Jeff Pins.

Memorial visitation will be 3pm-6pm  Friday, Feb. 9 at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 647 Dundee Ave., Barrington.  The memorial service will be at 10am Saturday, February 10 at the church.  Inurnment will be private.

Memorial donations in Dean’s name may be made to St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 647 Dundee Ave, Barrington, IL 60010.
