Debra “Frances” Ann Williams of Chicago, Illinois, passed away September 30, 2024, at the age of 67. She is remembered with love by her son, Jehue Williams Jr. (Michelle), grandsons, Jehue III and Elijah Williams; sisters, Deloris Romero and Bernice "Gertie" Romero; brother, Patrick Hoskin; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews.
Debra was born in Webb, Mississippi, on January 7, 1957. She moved to Chicago with her family in 1964. While attending college, she met her husband, Jehue Williams Sr. Debra worked in banking for thirty years, advancing to vice president of operations for Chase Bank. She took no nonsense but also was dedicated to taking care of her employees and treating everyone in any position with the same respect. In 2008, she became an entrepreneur and opened The Convenient Store on Belmont Avenue in Chicago. She created a welcoming place in the neighborhood and was beloved by local residents.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Buddy Hoskin and Sarah Lee Outlaw; her husband, Jehue Williams Sr,; and her brothers, Johnny Outlaw and Anthony Romero.
A service celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake, IL.
