Delphine T. Ornelas

Delphine T. Ornelas, of Ingleside, raised in McHenry, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at the age of 69.

She was born on December 19, 1951 in Chicago, the daughter of the late Bernard and Wanda (nee Reichel) Wisniewski.

Delphine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and daughter. She dedicated her life to her husband of almost 50 years, her children and her family. She lived her life to the fullest by going on many adventures including traveling the world with her husband, skiing the mountains of Colorado with her family and enjoyed planning and hosting many parties and holidays.

Delphine is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Ornelas, Jr.; her 4 children, Amy (Scott) Finch, Angela (Shawn) Young, Joseph (Emily) Ornelas, III, and Jennie (Adam) Davis; her 11 grandchildren, Grace, Anna and Ben Finch, Colin and Logan Young, Amelia, John and Andrew Ornelas, Bryce, Trent and Chace Davis; and siblings, Diane Nellessen and Robert (Michelle) Wess.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Wisniewski.

Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she interacted with and loved.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 26, from 4-8 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176) Crystal Lake. The funeral Mass will be held Saturday, February 27, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Rd, Huntley, IL 60142. Interment will be private.
