Dennis Sohn

A visitation for Dennis Sohn,59, will be held Saturday, July 30th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington. A memorial service will follow the visitation. Born December 7,1951, in Joliet, he passed away Saturday, July 23 at his home in Barrington, IL.

 Dennis was a graduate of Joliet West High School and went on to graduate from Northern Illinois University.  A certified public account, Dennis was co-founder,"" vice president and principal “enterpretor” of en-terpret.co"", where he was astute in providing accounting,"" consulting and systems implementation.  Prior to his work at en-terpret.co"", he was a managing director at RSM McGladrey, a partner/shareholder with Berg, DeMarco, Lewis & Sawatski, and a managing director with H&R Block.

 Dennis loved technology, golf, and had an affinity for yellow labs.  He was a member of Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity and Stonehenge Golf Club in Barrington.

 His family would like to express their thankfulness and appreciation for the care provided by the nurses and staff of the Pepper Family Hospice Home and the Hospice and Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois.

 Survivors include his sister, Adrienne (Bob) Nerad of Whitefish Bay, WI; and nephew, Corey Nerad of Chicago.

 Additional survivors include his Sister-in-law Carolyn (Anthony) Phipps and nieces, Breanna  and Bronte Phipps of  Pallatine, and  Brother –in –law Robert (Jean) Geddis of Chicago.

 He was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela (nee Geddis); parents, Carl and Theresa (nee Cohen) Sohn; and his yellow lab, Kelsey.
