Diane K. Brooks

Diane K. Brooks, 66, of Crystal Lake, was born October 26, 1954 in Melrose Park, IL to Harold and Emily Bernhagen. She passed away peacefully on October 19, 2021.

She dedicated her life to helping others from working to provide medicine to hospital patients to being a special education school bus driver for twenty-five years. Diane adored rescuing animals and providing them with loving homes. Her greatest joys included being a devoted mother and spending time with her family while camping and traveling.

Diane is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Randall J. Brooks; children, James Brooks, Katherine Brooks, John Brooks, Erik Brooks; grandchildren Taylor Powell, Desire Brooks; great-grandchild Leon Sanders.
She was preceded in death by her mother Emily Bernhagen and her father Harold Bernhagen.

The family will receive guests from 4pm until time of memorial service at 7:30pm, Monday Oct 25 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., (Rt 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Interment private.
