Diane T. Hainline

Diane Condon Hainline née Mashek passed with peace and grace on February 18, with her sons at her side. Preceded death by her parents, Daniel and Hazel Mashek; husband, Richard; and sons, Paul and Stephen. Survived by sons, Gregg (Camille) Condon of Hendersonville NC, Mark (Thelma) Condon of Barrington IL, and Brian (Julia) Condon of Sherborn MA;  grandchildren, Ashley, Chase, Daniel, Caroline, Sara, Megan, Jack, Cayla and Cole; and great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Hattie, Tate, Ava and Lochlan.

Diane was born in Beverly, IL. As a young woman, she was an avid figure skater traveling before and after school to practice at the Chicago arena and performed in ice shows with the St. Paul Pop Orchestra. After graduating from Academy of Our Lady high school, she attended Michigan State University where she earned a BA degree in Elementary Education. She went on to become a lifelong educator teaching first grade.

Additionally, she taught computer skills to kids and seniors. Later in life, she devoted her time to volunteer work at local community hospitals and various senior organizations. Affectionately known as “Gram”, she was the matriarch of the Condon family, a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and always looked forward to our large family gatherings.

Visitation will be Friday, February 25, 2022 from 4 PM until 6 PM with a funeral service at 5 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W. Main Street (Lake-Cook Rd) Barrington, IL 60010. Private family interment will be held at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank the ICU team at Northwest Community Hospital.

She will be always remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
