Diane H. Reichow, 86, longtime resident of Barrington, passed away peacefully on December 12. She was born on July 1, 1935, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to the late Otto and Helen Herbert.
Diane lived a joyful life serving the Lord, her family and community. Diane was happily devoted to her husband Robert Reichow and her children. A University of Wisconsin-Whitewater alum, Diane enjoyed many passions and generously shared her gifts as a charter member of the Lutheran Church of the Atonement (Barrington), a dedicated teacher for 25 years serving Prospect, Lake Zurich and Jacobs high schools, and a keen bridge player. She was a cherished friend to many, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter. Generous and graceful, Diane’s kind spirit warmed many hearts, and her radiant smile and infectious laugh is her joyful legacy.
Diane is survived by her children, Gary Reichow and Karen (Clint) Paul; grandchild (Rebecca); and her brother Craig (Melanie) Herbert.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 16 at 11:00 AM at Lutheran Church of the Atonement, 909 E. Main St., Barrington where family will receive guests from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Interment to follow at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary, IL.
