Diane Trembly

Diane Trembly, 77, passed away unexpectedly on April 16, 2022.  Diane was born on September 30, 1944, in Spring Valley, IL to Albert and Edna (Naumann) Zimmerman.

Diane grew up in rural Peru, IL.  She graduated from Hopkins Township High School in Granville, IL.  Diane earned her bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University and master’s degree from the University of Illinois.  Diane enjoyed her time teaching junior high and high school students home economics at Hall Township High School in Spring Valley, IL and District 47 in Crystal Lake, IL.  She took time off to raise a family and then returned to the work force at Flowerwood Nursery and then McDonald’s in Crystal Lake until her retirement.

Diane married husband, Gary Trembly, on June 22, 1968, and moved to Crystal Lake.  The two became longtime members of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crystal Lake.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents.  Diane is survived by her loving husband, Gary; her children, Kristin (Kevin) Shaw and Brian (Sarah) Trembly; grandchildren, Kaelyn (John) Glaser, Robert Shaw, Joshua, Kate, and Megan Trembly; and great grandchild Elowyn Glaser.  Diane is also survived by her siblings, Loretta (Lloyd) Schrowang and Larry (Kathleen) Zimmerman.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 26, from 4pm until 8pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.   The visitation will continue at the funeral home Wednesday, April 27, from 10am until the time of a service at 11am.  A private interment will be at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.

Memorials may be given in Diane’s name to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 300 Pathway Ct, Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
