Dolores Herrlin

The funeral service for Dolores “Dede” B. Herrlin,79, formerly of Barrington will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 15, at the Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington, where there will be visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.  Hal Metzger, Jr. will officiate.  Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, Chicago.

There will also be visitation from 3-8 p.m., Monday, November 14, at the funeral home.

Born April 21,1932, in Chicago to the late Ariel and Katherine Bohn, she passed away Monday, November 7,2011, at the Moorings Health Center, Arlington Heights.

 Dede’s priorities were Christ, her family and her friends, whom she all loved. 

Survivors include her children, Steven A. Herrlin of Palatine, Jennifer J. (Danny) Truax of Cary; her “adopted daughter,” Jessie Gottschall of Barrington; and her former husband, James E. Herrlin of Barrington.  Dede was well loved and will be greatly missed.

Memorials in Dede’s name may be sent to the Geneva Foundation of Presbyterian Homes, 811 E. Central Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60005, where the donations will be used to assist older adults in the health center at The Moorings of Arlington Heights.

 

Visitation: Monday, November 14, 3-8 p.m. and Tuesday, November 15, 10-11 a.m., at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Rd.), Barrington.
