Dolores “Dee” Catherine Kelley,85, of Crystal Lake, passed away Friday, September 16,2011, at her home.

She was born March 8,1926, in Chicago to Joseph and Emma Kossack.

Dolores married her high school sweetheart Jim in 1946, and they moved to Crystal Lake with their family in 1967. She was very active in her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events and activities. She was cherished by her family and many friends for her patient and caring ways. She was an inspiration to many with her faith, wisdom, and guidance.

She worked for Dist. #155 for many years; starting at Central, ending at South High School. In retirement she maintained many friendships from the district.   

Dolores is survived by her loving children, Judy (Stewart) Anderson, Marla Kelley, Lynette (Richard) Fennessy, Dorice Rutkowski, Jim (Gail) Kelley, Jeff Kelley and Keith Kelley; and grandchildren, Brad Fennessy, Leah Rutkowski, Tess Rutkowski, Ryan Kelley, Ashley Kelley and Kourtni Kelley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Kelley; infant daughter, Dolores Charlene Kelley; infant grandchildren, Dana and Kelley Lyn Fennessy; and brother, Leroy Kossack.

Visitation will be held from 3-9p.m., Sunday, September 18, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, and Monday, September 19, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30a.m., at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 1023 McHenry Ave., Crystal Lake.

Interment will be in Crystal Lake Memorial Park Cemetery.
