Don Brown

Funeral services for Don E. Brown, 80, of Barrington and Naples, FL, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 30, at the Presbyterian Church of Barrington, 6 S. Brinker Rd, Barrington Hills, IL 60010 with a brief visitation beginning at 10a.m.
Burial will be held in White Memorial Cemetery, Barrington.

Visitation is 4 to 8p.m. Wednesday, October 29, at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W Main St (Lake-Cook Rd), Barrington, IL 60010.
He passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014 with his loving family by his side after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Don was a star athlete at both Evanston High School and Carleton College excelling in basketball, baseball, and football. Following college and military service, he was a successful executive and packaging industry leader and later became an entrepreneur starting Fox Valley Containers.

Don was a loving father to David and Peter (Liz) Brown; loving father-in-law of Julie Brown; cherished grandfather of Ryan, Ethan, and Carolyn Brown; wonderful brother-in-law to Judy (Bill) Colby; and uncle to Steve, Mike, and Margaret.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joan, after 51 years of marriage; and parents, Lyle and Winnie Brown.
