Donald J. Gentile

Donald J. Gentile, of Crystal Lake, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the age of 94.
He was born March 15, 1923 in Chicago, the youngest son of 7 children, of the late Dominic and Rosa (nee Pietrandoni) Gentile.

Donald is survived by his daughter, Donna (Mark Zeitler) Gentile; his grandsons, Eric and Ian Zeitler; his sister, Eleanora Picchietti; and his beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Josephine (nee Greco) Gentile; his step-son, Peter Mascillino; and five siblings.

The visitation will be held Wednesday, February 7, from 4-9 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176) Crystal Lake. The funeral service will be held the following day, Thursday, February 8, at 10 a.m. with visiting beginning at 9 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside.
